I have been working in the oil fields for a while now, I know water hauling, its what iv done as long as iv been working in the oil fields. I have now purchased my own truck, I am in the process of getting it ready for work. being as the truck that i have purchased (freight liner fld 120 flattop) being as the truck was not already setup for oil field work i have the option to set it up for whatever i want to do with it. I have been recently thinking of possibly going to another area of oil field trucking besides water with the truck.

I don't own a trailer currently will be looking to lease a trailer, flatbeds are cheap compared to tankers or dirt trailers so if i decide to do fly ash or pipe ill probably go ahead and purchase a trailer, belly dumps seem to be cheaper than tanker trailers as far as i can see between new prices and used prices in the area. advantages so belly dump and flatbed are also that they do not require a wet kit for the truck.

I would like to hear from any owner operators that are hauling in various area of oilfield trucking and there experiences good and bad as a water hauler i know plenty of o/o water haulers and get to talk to some people on locations but sometimes its hard getting a honest answer about meany things from some of these people.

Thank you very much for your post. I'm a military member that is about to retire from the US Navy. Last year, my brother and I purchased two 130BB vacum trailers, and have tried tirelessly to get the trucks going but I feel lost.

I have served the military and that is the only thing I know, it seems to me that there are a lot of dishonest people out there, or at least i have been the unlucky guy to deal with them. I'm really tired of the liars out there, and finally i ran into this website today, and I felt i can ask for help here.

I can't seem to comprehend why is it so hard to find a job in the same country i went to war for three times, two wars.

Do you think you can provide some guidance as to where I can get them started. We are looking in the West TX or NM area.

I can be reached at truckingjt@gmail.com
