There's really not enough information given to make an assessment. All you say is that it's a small company, with no other details. There seems to be this notion that small automatically means good.. it does not. They could be a great employer to work for, or a terrible one - your guess is as good as ours.
Have you spoken with them? If so, what have they told you? -
Generally speaking. And there are many exceptions. Smaller company will treat you better. I like being the only employee with my company. It's great when you are a person and not a number

It depends on you and the company a bit, I drive for swift, but my Dm knows me by voice, she puts up with my rants, and I'm fairly well known around the office, it probably has something to do with being an Aussie, but I'm fairly outgoing with people and love to chat and good natured rib people. But I also busted my ### to get to a position where they can pull up my truck stats and see 100% on time, run hard etc. it's also what semi stops me from leaving the company is I'm afraid I won't get as much freight elsewhere, that's my issue with a smaller company, I'm afraid I will sit, and that drives me insane as when I'm in the road, I wanna run

Small. I'm one of three drivers. The job is much more relaxed but you are under scrutiny bc one mistake everyone knows... However I enjoy being a name not a number

There are advantages and disadvantages to big vs. smaller carriers. Starting out most will be required to go to work for larger carriers due to insurance. Most of the larger carriers self insure, at least up to a point. That makes it easier to cover inexperienced drivers. Smaller carrier often don't hire drivers until they have at least 1-2 years experience because their insurance company requires it. Personally, I prefer smaller companies. With many larger carriers you are only a number and they are very rigid with all their rules. Smaller carriers usually get to know driver's names and treat them with more respect.
