I have a few questions about them. I see most of them going down the road with what looks like a generator hanging off of the front. Most of them also look like they have air conditioning. Here come the questions. Does anyone know if they have the generators power an A/C unit to cool the trailers or if the front power unit also has the A/C tied into it like a reefer? I am trying to find a Generator in the 30KW range that has an A/C unit built in that can hang off of the front of a trailer like a reefer unit. I looked at some of the reefer unit and they has a 20KW generator on them to power it. The cooling part of it isn't as important as the power of the generator.

Why not hang it below the trailer like on a refrigerated container chassis, unless it is a low trailer? I've only seen one race trailer up close and personal, but I do believe it was strictly a generator on the front, but it's been 10 years.

No room, the trailer would be a drop deck van. Just trying to see if there was a manufacture out there that made something like that. I knew it was more of a specialty thing but was hoping to get lucky on some information.

Those are some nice trailers. I wish I could have one of those.

I asked Kentucky Trailer's shop and they told me who they get them from and they didn't know if anyone made a unit like that. The problem that I have with the current trailer is the fact that the air conditioner can't keep it cool enough in the summer and the heaters can't keep it warm enough in the winter and space is a premium inside the trailer. So I was wondering if someone made something better than what I have now.

Is the trailer insulated, if not, you're gonna need ALOT of A/C and heat, which means BIG units.

It is not insulated, but it only needs to cool it to about 60 degrees F from 130 degrees F and heat it to about 50 degrees F from -50 degrees F.
