Plenty of port and rail work, not a lot of flatbed. They will let anything pull containers.

yea ive worked intermodal mostly all my career im tired of port of miami and PEV as well as rail rates just dont pay all they move down here is groceries with 3-4 hour wait times to load or unload.

Craigslist all over Florida always have ads for O/O

Daily home time isn't going to happen. You could maybe be home every other weekend if you got your own direct shipper, but there really is not any freight coming out of FL and the stuff going in has kinda faded lately as well. I hardly see any flatbed loads going there, but there are TONS of van loads lol

I ran flatbed awhile...always had a wait trying to find a load out of miami

that definetly sucks to hear, it seems as if its a trend down here. before you know it the rail will move everything. Once it goes back into port of miami this will all be shot to sh$t.
