You should carry around some extra batteries in your backpack then :)

Man, thankfully I haven't had to deal with any crap from Breakdown or about idling in heat. If they ever said anything to me about idle time in extreme heat, I would remind them that people go to jail for leaving pets in hot cars. Just sayin'. And if it ever became an issue, I'd go work elsewhere. Same with breakdown. Not makin' enough $$ to deal with crud from them. Heard on "Landline Now" today that an Ex-driver for Heartland Express got a $31,000 settlement after being fired for eventually refusing to drive poorly maintained equipment; they wouldn't fix trailer lights and such. I've already decided that any company I'm driving for will keep their stuff in good shape, or I move on. So far May has not given me any grief for getting things fixed; from lights, to tires and such. Sucks to hear other drivers are having issues with that...

Okay, finished my training session in two weeks and went for my road test yesterday afternoon.....passed that and now I am waiting for a phone call to go get an abandoned truck in WY. Hope to cross paths with everyone at some point.

I have had no issues with MAY about getting anything Fixed on a trailer. Some people just complain about everything. I have been with May 4 years, the last 3 as Owner/Op. I know how to run a business and MAY does as well. To those that constantly complain: Get yer own truck and see how well you do!

Some drivers would complain if they were kicked with a new boot.

    Paloma Thanks this.

Thanks for the welcome!!!! Come to find out, the truck was at peterbuilt. I am sitting here at a hotel as the truck wasn't done yet. Supposedly, the tow truck driver broke a window and cowling as well as humongous scratches down the side so they wanted everything fixed before I took it. Needless to say, they had to overnight the parts in last night to repair it today. So here I sit!! They are supposed to detail it when I get it back to Denver but who knows what time that will be.
