You leave for a few weeks and all he[[Ibrakes loose. It appears the bulk of drivers here on the forum have left for one reason or another. Who is left at this point? it is difficult at best to keep note!

I'm still here. Was just getting tired of feeling like I had to whip it out and compare. Decided to stay out of the childish bickering.

"Survivors"? Sounds like victims of war, child abuse or what not ;-)

Agreed... Seems like those that couln't make it at MAY, complain and whine, then leave. Yet they still come on the MAY section and post B.S. on how they now only work 3 hours a day, home every day and weekends, off 3 weeks a month (paid) and make 10k a week. Drive brand new 2025 Trucks that drive themselves, so all they have to do is sit back and play with themselves.

Trucking is NOT for everone. Most don't make it long. If you understand the business, you can make a #### good living by being an Owner or a Driver. All Trucking Companies have their quirks. Deal with them and work them to your advantage .. in other words: Grow up!

I never once complained about ANYTHING, other than those who whined and complained about May. Jesus, the biggest crybaby here, always accused me of being full of it, and a corporate cheerleader. I love May, and would go back in a heartbeat, if things didn't work out for me where I am now. But luckily, it doesn't appear that will happen. And, FYI I left Tuesday night, will be home tonight (Friday) and make over $1100, but I sure do miss my 2012 587 from May

As I have previously stated, I left May because they were unable to get me home every week, or at least every week and being able to earn a living.

As I have publicly stated here, I have been home every weekend since I started with my new company on June 5. In addition, I make it home once during the week as well, and yes, I'm averaging good miles and making decent money. If the company I'm with now can do it, certainly May Trucking can do it too, it's not rocket science.

May is not set up logistically for regional/line haul transport which benefits drivers who want or need to be home more than once every three weeks. That's a fact. Why? I don't understand.

For you apologists to disregard some of the real concerns and frustrations of drivers who have posted here as simply being whiners or cry babies is pretty weak. I personally trained many students at May over a two year period who simply could not make enough money to support themselves on the road, let alone a family and have subsequently quit. Yes, trucking is not for everyone. However, in today's economic climate people are desperate financially.

I spoke with a driver who works for May the other day. She told me that she dropped a load from Denver at Jubitz last Saturday morning. Right before her 24 hr layover pay would of kicked in, they put her under dispatch, A WHOPPING 114 mile run not due until Tuesday afternoon! She was pretty much in tears indicating that for the 3 day period she only earned $17.00 a day. Unfortunately, after she deducts her cost to eat and what not, she went in the hole.

That is unconscionable if you ask me. This happens more than you can shake a stick at there. I'm sure it happens other places as well, however, this is a May Trucking thread and real people, with real experiences have shared their own personal struggles and frustrations.

    Show a little compassion...
