Turn any cargo winch into a ratcheting winch. Shift your load-securing time into overdrive. Faster and easier to use than traditional winches, the ratcheting action lets you keep the winch bar in the cap until the winch strap is completely tightened, cutting your load time up to 50%. The OverDrive fits over the winch cap on any slide-on, portable or weld-on winch and secures with a heavy-duty pin and bolt. No need to remove or replace your existing winches.

I just found out about these Friday...but it seems Ancra already discontinued them.
They are still readily available....but I don't know why they stopped making them.

Anyone have any experience with these? Good or bad?
    I like the idea...

A ratcheting winch bar is cheaper then equipping a whole trailer with these.

SHC, Hanadarko and skellr Thank this.

And that is why they quit making them. TarpStop had these on clearence a few months back for a few bucks each because they didn't sell any...... once the put the "SALE" sign out in the front on them tho the Polish, Macedonian and Ukraine drivers gobbled them up LOL

Stay with the basics that's why they've been around for decades. New fancy as junk is just that junk the teeth gum up and quit ratcheting. If You're too lazy to use a bar they have a trailer for you it's called a van close your doors and go.

skellr, gator21 and SHC Thank this.

Yea, a ratcheting winch bar is $59, while those things were $14 each. I have 30 winches on my trailer and my winch bar isn't subjected to road chemicals, in the winter.

I have a racheting winch bar .... Keep your regular cause that sob is HEAVY when all you need to do is a quick tighten ( and Im 6''3 245) the weight is really annoying but its handy and saves time

Easy, Autocar is just a joker like the rest of us, tho she is a short broad (I was taught by my mamma to never call a lady fat if i knew what was good for me)

I too use just the regular winch bar, but have been looking at the racheting one's since my elbow is all messed up now for some reason. I had a MRI done and aparently I ripped my 2 tendons that go across my elbow. i know the exact load I did it on too LOL
