Hello Wedge,
Thanks for all the updates it sure makes some good reading. I have read both your threads and i am trying to keep up with this one so I don't have to keep dedicating my whole work day to catch up on your adventures.
I am getting ready to go back to trucking after working in an office for the last 5 years. I talked to Central Refrigerated and have all the pre hire out of the way and could start anytime. I remember you looking at them, but changing at the last minute. Any good advise before I jump in head first? I hate to hurt my feet with going feet first. Being German and hard headed sometimes comes in handy even if it is just to break your fall.
Thanks keep up the great thread and be save out there.

So Wedge....is it Christine still or Marge?
wulfman75 Thanks this. -
This is an odd little TS. The last 7 or 8 parking spots behind the building are blindside backs. That's where I park. The bad part is nobody goes after those spots until the rest of the place is filled up. And of course by then it's dark out. I've been out of this truck a bunch of times helping people back in so they won't wipe out my truck. -
What to do on 34 what to do????

Central was my first choice. They're a good company to start with. I had my CDL when I signed on with them, and went out with a trainer. The trainer decided to make my hearing an issue, even though I passed their DOT physical. So I ended up coming off the road until I replaced my hearing aids with new ones. That took awhile (hearing aids are not like glasses, they require multiple sessions to be properly programmed). By the time I got that squared away, their head of safety said I needed to go through orientation again. It was a frustrating ordeal. I elected to pass on Central altogether.
By this time, I had been out of CDL school so long, no one wanted me unless I took a refresher course (which is what I was going to do). But something told me to give USX a try. I talked with Scarlett in recruiting and she said don't worry about that. Your good to go. She scheduled me for orientation and the rest is history. Been with USX ever since. They've been treating me well, and the miles have been good.vikingswen Thanks this. -
I'm sticking with Christine for the moment. She's been behaving.

Wanna know??
Sleep; watch movies; shower; do laundry; parked regen; eat; shop for groceries; re-organize the truck; watch people back into spots (live entertainment); help people back into spots (price of a peaceful nights sleep); parked regen (yeah, need those a lot); use up band width on TTR; check e-mail; work on my novel; naps; clean the truck; and maintenance.
Oh yeah......
Stare at the birds smiling at me..........figure they would've left by now.

Awesome. Good ideas for me the newbie!!!
Wedge Thanks this. -
34 hour resets are not always commonplace, so when you get one, put the time to good use.
