Just got back from back 2 back trips L.A.Cals. The last one,was asked to team with another driver. I said yes, I went with a driver named Chris. All went well, Chris was a great teammate , would do it again.

Parked for the day in Dodge City, KS and at 1845 it is 97 degrees
Once I get to Bellemont, AZ I'll drop that trailer there and go pick up my next load at Purina in Flagstaff, AZ that delivers to the SuperValu DC in Irvine, CA at 0600 Monday morning. Done this run before, only issue is making sure I'm legal with the Cali bridge laws as dog food is HEAVY. Miles were short last week because of home time and when I was able to scan in paper work.
7/8-7/8: 532 miles
7/9-7/9: 257 miles
7/9-7/11: 1215 miles
That makes for 2004 paid miles for the week plus .03 cpm on the short haul. Once I finish this run I'll have around 3700 miles in 8 days but this 1700+ mile run will be a nice start to next week's check. Be safe allKutina Thanks this. -
Delivered early this morning at the SCA in Bellemont, AZ and BT over to the Purina in Flagstaff. Scaled my load at the Little America and was worried because they loaded almost to the doors and the bills said the load weighed in at 45,123. With my tandems slid one hole past Cali legal and I came out to 34,100 on the trailer tandems and 32,000 on my drives so by now I let out a sigh of relief. I really didn't want to go back and have that load redone. Now I sit here at the Little America in Flagstaff until 2300 CST because I don't get hours back until midnite, only have a hour left on my 70 and this load delivers at 0600 local in Irvine, CA 470+ miles away. Gonna be tight but should be fine.

Barely made my appt time in Irvine because SoCal is the only place in the country that could have traffic at a stand still at 5 in the morning. Took 3 hours to get unloaded so I should be getting some detention and couldn't pick up a load today. That's ok as I will be picking up in Vista, CA and then over to Oceanside, CA for a pallet and I will be taking this load to Fargo, ND and then the pallet goes to the yard in Wisconsin. At least the miles to Fargo will go on this week's check and Fargo to the yard on next week's. Getting some good miles to start this quarter's bonus run. Stay safe all.
Kutina Thanks this. -

Thanks dipper, I certainly appreciate the kind words. I definitely don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. Any idea where you think you'll be starting out?

Ive got orientation at Arnold in Jax! I'm sitting in my local pub
right now, but I drive by Arnold, they took over the building that
US Express was in, NOW, there's no sign
(literally!) of US Express except their trucks are
still in the yard!....,.and it looks like Arnold has
a #####-load of new trucks in the yard!Weeble Kneeble Thanks this. -

a good lease. Sounds to me you found it, good luck, brother!
