I did not see that mentioned anywhere. How do you KNOW he was speeding through a school zone? Did they have him on camera speeding?
I am waiting on the rest of the story LOL I am not saying the woman was at fault BUT I am also not going to wish him into jail before I know the facts.
As for me having sympathy for him SORRY but I am not a cold hearted person I know 99% of the truck drivers are family men who work hard and have feelings and could not or should I say would not kill another human being. I may be navity but I think everyone would be deeply upset over them taking a life. We are told we are to forgive just as we have been forgiven.

For both and add speeding through a school zone -
From the article originally posted by Cybergal
"He almost swiped the side of my car," Sarah Bragdon said. "He was speeding through town." She added that the incident occurred in a school zone. -
Ok he was behind Ms Bragdon going through town and the school zone SO SHE was speeding as well. hmmmmmmmmmm
-
Bottom line is, if there is no proof the driver was speeding (like radar gun clocking him, or a car following him, and, ALSO speeding) then what the daughter has to say is immaterial.

Regardless of who was speeding and going through a school zone, the Woman and her Daughter are a couple of Dumb*sses. One of them is a dead Dumb*ss. First, her duty is to report the incident to Police and file a complaint. Her following any vehicle for 21 miles then standing in front of it is not what any citizen is supposed to do. Drivng in this manner is a traffic offense and a misdemeanor. The ONLY reason a citizen can perform a citizens arrest is on a Felony. And that is what she did, by trying to stand in front of the truck and prevent him from leaving. It's called unlawful detention or false imprisonment by preventing a persons free movement. If you commit a minor traffic violation and I stop you and prevent you from leaving and force you to stay there, I will probably be going to jail. It's different when a crime is committed and you're holding someone for Police. This woman was a moron and got killed for being one. PERIOD!!! Her daughter also took part in it and is partially responsible for her mothers death. Getting pissed off at anyone over the way they drive and taking this kind of action is just asking for something to go wrong. Who died and pinned a badge on her? Yeah, I feel sorry for anyone who dies or loses a family member, but sometimes when you act like a conehead and take the law into your own hands, bad things can happen. In this case, IT DID!!! Regardless of whether the trucker did it by mistake or on purpose, sometimes being stupid can get you killed.

I agree, most people are to quick to T-ed off and confront someone that they don't need to call the police and back off.
-
I completly agree with you.

Could it be she slowed abruptly/ unexpected & the trucker swerved around her, starting this chain of events. The mother wasn't even driving. Just call it in & let the police do there job. Trucker may even be wondering what her problem is, to him it may have been a lane change already forgotten. Just makes me wonder when we only hear from one side.

What the heck kind of vehicle is that in your avatar photo. Looks like some kind of funky chopped school bus with a Freightliner front end or something. I can't see enough detail to tell what it is. Hate to get off- topic, but you've got my curiosity going.
