Dont get a freightliner with the eaton auto combo bad bad combination the last company i worked for bought 140 of them in 2006 and like less than 30 of them are still runnin today.Very unreliable and very expensive to fix and or replace.
SHC Thanks this. -
How new? The Volvo IShift is the greatest Ning since sliced bread
-
Depending on what you are doing....but if it's pulling a van then go with the Volvo. If its platform work, then go with a Mack (both have same transmissions)
-
I been doing alot of research and everyone is saying volvos parts are expensive and service is hard to find
-
At my last company we were using Mack's A/T The trucks were running just about 24 hrs a day. Most trucks were 2-3 years old and had very little problems. Although it was in Florida so I can attest for hills or grades

That freightliner with the autoshift or smart shift one of them
-
I totally dig my Volvo with the iShift. Parts and labor really aren't that bad price wise. I love the way the D13 works with the iShift.
Elroythekid and BigBadBill Thank this. -
