Tulare is one of the better terminals. My only probs with driving out of Tulare were :
1) Never any MT's..spent many times on wild goose chases (& competing with other Knight bobtails!) up & down 99 looking for them (like Sears in Delano).
and
2) I really hated driving CA99..saw too many accidents, morning fog, often crappy roadway, local road ragers who hated big trucks, etc.
What I liked about CA 99 was it was 'old' CA, with the cities along it ala 50's & 60's when CA was the place to be..RizenPhoenix Thanks this. -
Spending the night at the El Paso terminal. 14:00 p/u here in town tomorrow and then I finally get headed back east.

I have no delusions about it being all tulips and daisies. Going with Knight was purely a business decision. We(wife and I will be driving teams) had three job offers and we will make 8cpm more at Knight then at the next best offer.
It's always smart not to burn bridges, even if you don't think you'll need them.
