The school I graduated from for my CDL training in 1998 offers free refreshers to graduates in "good standing" (ie not owning tuition). When I registered, they found no record that my loan had been actually paid by Stevens per my fufilling my contract but since the company that financed the loan for my tuition had since gone out of business and my file didn't show that my tuition bill was outstanding, they said I was good to go, lol!

Been off the OTR scene since 2007. I've been doing Hostler work till sept of 2011. When I talked to company this past week they told me that for them to consider me i would need to take a 40hr refreshers course. I'm hoping that i can find a company that will take me on and let me get the experience I need. I plan on to stay with whatever company will take me on.

Since you live in TX ck with Stevens in Dallas they have a refresher course, not sure what the criteria is.

find a smaller operator with 25 or less trucks.
I got tired of hearing that line too and found a local company that would put me in a truck. -
