We can pretty much count on between 2100-3000 per week. There have only been a few weeks where it was 1500-1800 & that's only when something happens to the truck & he must have repairs done. I can budget very easily & count on the constant miles. Also he takes all loads that he can to the NE & Canada since you get extra $$.

Question about teams: what happens when I have banked 10 days off and I want a vacation but my partner isn't ready for hometime? And vice versa? What's the pay during orientation and training? What do teams make is it 44cpm split?

What is this I hear about fitness training and what does it entail

are doubles/triples and tanker required? do they ever run either/or?

Have you ever seen The Biggest Loser? Its alot like that. Just kidding, they have a mandatory fitness hour a day program to get your Presidential Physical Fitness Patch.......oh wait, that was in elementary school, never mind. I have no idea what physical fitness training you are referring to.Trucker_Matt Thanks this.

Then your partner runs solo at the solo rate for that time. not sure about orientation pay, I am sure its on their website, and yes team rate is split, each person would get .22 for every mile.Last edited: Jul 20, 2012

Be able to push 150 lbs, pull 150 lbs, duck walk I think 10 feet (like your squatting but walking that way) and squat and stand up in assisted 3 times. This is to show you can properly lump your loads/ do a pre-trip. I did it for fun (hired b4 it was required) and with a rod in my femur, pins and rods in my foot, and a bad back it was no problem.... Didn't feel good to do but it was easy enoughTrucker_Matt Thanks this.

Awesome, thank you both for the info!!! one more question... i hear the 5 day orientation is their way of weeding out applicants... how often to people get kicked out during orientation? I went to a great truck driving school, i should do just fine right?

As long as you are in reasonably decent physical shape and have nothing questionable in your past that the company hasnt already been made aware of, I wouldnt worry. Yes, typically there are quite a few people weeded out in orientations at every company, for so many different reasons. Going to a good school cuts the chances of those reasons down significantly because the good schools do their own background checks and let you know any questionable histories you might have.
