Taking my break at the Moapa Travel Plaza in Nevada off 15. Would of liked to make it to Cedar City or Parowan in Utah but I sat in the dock in Vista for 2 hours before they even started to load me. No biggie, should be in Fargo around 1200 on Friday to unload these hot tubs.

The pup and I are spending the night in Idaho Falls, ID. Beautiful drive up 15, especially North of SLC. Looking forward to the drive through Yellowstone up to Montana tomorrow. After this trip, only need Oregon and Washington and I'll have been to every state in the lower 48. Oh, and stop at KJ's truck stop in Idaho Falls if you get the chance. The restaurant connected to it is great. Baked potato and pecan pie ala mode here are slammin'.

He's working out just great. It's definitely nice to have someone to talk to about all the stupid and irritating crap we deal with out here. He's always the bright spot in the day. He seems to enjoy himself, especially meeting other drivers and their fellow navigators. He's also a great alarm system, just ask anyone who has knocked on my truck when i'm getting unloaded.

Pup and I are spending the night at the Pilot in St. Cloud, MN. Hope plenty of guys are ready to get up at 0330 because they have the awareness of a box of crayons and left enough room for a minivan to get out of. Unloaded my load of hot tubs in Fargo, ND and dropped my MT in Brainerd, MN where I also picked up a loaded trailer that I'm T Calling for a driver in Shakopee, MN where I'll p/u an MT to get loaded in Chanhassen, MN. I'll take that over to the yard where i'll drop and hook and take my load out to Los Angeles for Wednesday at 1100. Not much wiggle room at all with my hours but should be able to swing it. Will post last pay period's miles tomorrow.

Sitting here at the yard, hooked up to my loaded trailer, and heading out for Cali early in the morning. A 2100 mile trip and then time for some off time. Drove through some heavy rain in Eastern MN and Western WI along I-94, they really need it out here. Miles for this pay period look like this.

    7/12-7/15: 1748 miles
    7/15-7/16: 479 miles
    7/16-7/20: 1946 miles

That makes for 4173 paid miles and should have around 2700 next week.:yes2557:

My school doesn't even teach us this--will HOW?

Also, my original question, which from reading through this thread, I kind of think it's already been answered, albeit indirectly, so I'll ask outright: Does HOW run all 48? (this is what I want) I have a phone interview with them next Thursday which will lead to scheduling me for orientation, but I'm not fully sold on them yet.

They do teach you how to do this at the yard, and you have ample practice time throughout the week. Not all that hard, just a matter of repetition and recognition.

We do run all 48, northwest is the one area we don't run as heavy as the others. We go there, just not nearly as often as the other areas. If that's a major selling point for you, HOW may not be for you. I'm hoping to get up there before the before the snow flies so that I can at least know what I'm in for. All other regions have plenty of freight.
