Need to look in your area for truck driving schools and ask questions before you sign the dotted line. Most cdl schools do finance but you'll need a down payment.
Ask them if their recruiters send in the applications for you to the trucking companies, do the recruiters from the trucking companies ever come to the school? etc. -
Hey Big Rig Boi--use the above search bar and type in CDL schools in Maryland, lots of good resources and comments on schools in
your part of the country. Also regarding financing--if your currently using unemployment--many states will help or even pay for
the cost of your schooling. In my opinion--you do not want to be in debt to an employer that has their own training school--
they will make you sign a contract and if you don't stay--then you will have to pay them the full amount--at least those are
some of the stories I have heard! -
Tdds in lake milton, ohio does those things.. But wont take me becquse i have three misdeameanors.. That the companies wont hire me most likely.. Ill relocate to columbus if i got to. The funding in stark county is cut off because of the economy.. So i guess i got to try for something.. But i hope these schools dont deny me because i have misdemeanors.. Schneider told me two weeks into school i can get a letter of intent..said a couple of recruiters..

I think with the misdemeanors you would be better off going right to the companies and getting that answered before the schools. Schools necessarily could care less about the misdemeanors they just want the money.

i agree with tirednaz comment. i would call companies first. once you find a company that,ll hire you on completion of getting your cdl..ask the company which school they perfer.some companies have their own schools

Yea. you don't want to get all that way. Get halfway through orientation. Then get sent home. I've seen it allot. Do your homework first. Or it may hurt you financially.
