    I'll add a few more...

    CSA 2010 comes to mind....
Trucking companies treating their drivers like crap...
Not getting paid for the work you do... downtime, practical miles (not hub) etc, etc...

Feel free to add more drivers.

    1. Companies who like to starve you out if they want you to be a trainer vs a team driver.
    2. DM's who like to swap loads at the last minute.
    3. Having to pay to get into unload like Hunt's Point Ny.
    4. Lumpers
    5. New laws coming up on the 34hr reset next year.
    6. Truckstops which are not trucker friendly.
    7. Idling laws.

The bottom line is that entry level trucking jobs with major carriers pay less than minimum wage, require a person to have no 'normal' social life, and come with higher cost of living for those who maintain a life outside of the truck vs. someone that shares an apartment and works in fast food. It is a high risk, high stress occupation, complete with harassment and micromanagement. Business choices and decisions made to benefit the company almost always result in reducing driver pay. Couple that with the nonexistent work ethic, shortsightedness and lack of resolve of today's high school / college graduates, and you now see the reasons for the driver churn.
