Its new truck time and I'm looking at a new star with a series 60 Detroit 525hp ADR80/02.
I know we are a bit behind you guys when it comes to emission's but this is in a brand new truck with a million km warranty can any one tell me how good (or bad) they are please?
The last time I drove a Detroit was 1995 so i have no idea what they are like now.
    Thanks.

And you are shure they will not introduce a "carbon tax" like in Australia?

I'm guessing this truck is a expensive one?

Might be worth to check the emissons side off your purchase, could save you lots off dollars in the future.

4864 2.jpg 4864.jpg There is a carbon tax to be introduced but its aimed at the farmers.
The transport is way over taxed here now we have a tax called "Road User Chargers" (RUC) and that cost is different to each configuration mine will be a cost of $0.52 cents per km.
My new truck will be a 4864 twin steer 40'' sleeper similar to the one in the photo but will have a 15.3 meter trombone quad that will stretch out to 21 meters.
