All research that I have done on hair testing says it only goes back 90 days. So to be on the safe side it would be best to double it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_test
"It is becoming increasingly common for employers and the courts to ask for a Hair Drug Test. Testing for illegal substances in hair gives you a greater time frame of detection than urine, blood and saliva. In fact, you can often detect drugs in hair for several months - if not years, if the hair is long enough. Normally 90 days is all that is requested. However, some States require 120 days."

Just pay the fee of a drug test and see how it turns out prior to going to a school

good stuff man, stay strong and turn it around, you can do it. I'm not going to give you a time frame but will tell you trucking school was some of the most stressful time for me in the process. The 8 weeks i had with a trainer was too but once i got on my own it was the best feeling in the world. The reason i wanted to chime in was cuz of my story. i was a big drinker and occasional other things ie coke, meth but stopped all of it before school for a month or so, of course all that comes out of your system qucker than weed. But after a year on the road i came home for 4 days off and went up to nashville, which is where i lived for about 15 years while working in the music biz, and one thing led to another and i made some wrong choices and needless to say i'm no longer driving. So the reason i'm posting is to just give you the incentive that if you go this route you can never fall into it again cuz with the way randoms are in this business you will get caught. I absoulutly loved being out there and staying about from the drugs and alcohol was pretty easy when working but the hometime is where the problem came in. I was tested 5 times in just over a year so i do know if i'm ever fortunate enough to get back in i will not make the mistake again. Keep up the good work and good luck to ya. Keep us posted

Congrats on being clean for 30 days. Life can be hard and lonely as a driver, please consider being clean a year before jumping in the seat. I give you props for grabbing the bull by the horns.
