Hey, thanks for the replies. Guess it's not to big a deal. Was more curious than anything, I'll be starting with them in a few weeks. By the way in response to dudw6710, if they see me change they'll get rid of it asap! lol

I have one in my truck, the only reason being i just started. they aren't hidden either they are a 5x5 black box mounted to the windshield. They only start recording when you break really hard, go over 70MPH for x amount of seconds, hit 1800 RPMs for x amount of seconds, or get in a collision. they are always on buy not always recording. the other way to get them installed is request one as mentioned above, or really #### up.

I want out of my columbia. Two weeks ago had to get the v-pod replaced, was causing the enginge to lug and hiccup like crazy. Had to go about 50-60 miles in 8th gear on the PA interstate, that was fun. Now two weeks later guess what the POS is doing again. I have figured out that once I get it above 55MPH as long as I keep it above that It runs fine, the problem is getting it up there. Now I am delivering my load tomorrow and hopefully my FM will send me to a terminal to get it fixed or give me a new truck. I have a small air leak that causes my tanks to empty when the truck is not running for more than 25 minutes, I have a bent glad hand that needs to be hammered into place, two out of three of my cigarette lighter jacks don't work, I have a chip in my windshield on the passenger side, and the engine is being a #####... Great truck to give to a guy that just got done with his trainer.

It might not be the vpod. my truck was doing exactly the same thing, turned out to be a relay that was missing.

As for the air leak, get on the phone with maintenance, if you can find the leak on the tanks they will send road service out to fix it, since that would put you OOS if you get an inspection. I had a leak on my trailer's brake drum, they sent road service out to fix it ASAP.

as for the glad hand, power sockets, and windshield, put a request in at the terminal and get it fixed.

as for the whole great truck to get after your with your trainer.......can't help you there, sorry, but i wouldn't complain about it. it'll probably be sold soon depending on he mileage.
