@lonelyswmtrucker that's not bad, not bad at all. i've been searching for the info on Laurel, Md and i can't find that post about it.. it was in this thread wasn't it?
-
never mind, i think i found where Giants was giving instructions. Go through gate, scale on right, go into little house to make a scale ticket, then circle around building to bays in back. Only been there once, but have been planned on it about four or five different times.. never really figured it out the first time, because half way through the process of walking around that place looking for someone to ask for help/directions, i was called and told by dispatch to go get the load from the back because the other driver had already gotten it loaded and ran out of hours, so i was to do a swap which is what happened..now every time i get planned on it i remember i dont know what to do when i get there. just trying to be ahead of the game.

yep unload in back and if you reload its up front, when you scale in to unload dont forget to sign the sheet and write what number you are on your scale ticket
-
ive been through pembroke 6 times this week and havent seen 1 IRT truck you guys still run canada or what?
-
It's a tight fit, I never unloaded there but heard you have to back in the bays. Not sure if the new bays for loading are completed. If not, watch the fence, and the drop off

in my final months at irt I was always asked if I had a passport every time I went into the dispatch office looking for a load, if they had Canada loads on the yard. When I said no, they used to give me one anyway and tell me to take it to pembroke, but in the last few months they wouldn't give me a Canada load at all. It wasn't a bad run mileage wise and it wouldn't have been bad at all if I-79 didn't suck so much.

will irt take guys with no tanker experience but the tanker endorsement obviously?
-
I did Canada a couple of Weeks ago, ended up at the garbage receiver that pumps three liads of port Newark juice to one load of Florida juice. Took me a day and a half to get unloaded. It looked like an IRT Terminal in that place and it's small as all heck. Haven't heard much about Canada since. They brought me in last Monday
for home time, but since it wasn't schedule until Fri they had me help load the boat. Not a bad gig if you get into the flo just right.
Yes they do, I came from dry van, and the road test is you dragging a concentrated load of juice down US27 with a regular driver to grade you. The concentrated juice gave me a sense of abilities I did not have, and I realized that as soon as I hooked a load of single stran. That juice beat that truck like a slave. -
Food grade tank is slow now will pick up in late aug then run you as hard as you want
