    #### guess I should just be a lawyer, they make good money off of speeders. If I was'nt trying to get into trucking I'd just pay it and forget about it. But I know the insurance companies will find it so might as well just make it go bye bye for good. I guess I'm lucky I didnt get caught on one of my ROAD RAGE days ! he would've caught me going much much faster ! lol j/k

Get a lawyer, have it reduced and go to school. Once you get a CDL, this option is not legally available to you. On top of that, anything over 15mph is a major violation on a CDL (2 majors in three years equals automatic 60 day CDL suspension), and it doesn't matter what type of vehicle your driving. Good luck.

One speeding ticket is not bad on a record. Fight it with a lawyer on your side. Fingers crossed you'll get cut a break.

lawyer is overkill in FL. you elect to take class, take it online, and it never hits your MVR. its as simple as that.

plead your case to the judge you never know. Also if your state has driving school that may be a way to keep the ticket off your record. If this truly is your first ticket i would plead with the judge, maybe he would at least drop the speed for you.

Just remember next time a big truck is travelling 60 mph behind you, you only have to drive 61 to not get rear ended..not 75

If traffic school doesn't work, a good lawyer can knock that down to a simple speeding ticket, assuming you don't have a dirty MVR already. Google the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and make a list of several attorneys living near the court. A good lawyer will listen to you for free, then respond with a practical plan of action that won't cost. Fortune. You want a lawyer who's confident he/she can produce results on your behalf. You driving career is not over because of this ticket, no way...

you right I didnt absolutely have to do 73 mph to get out of the trucks way but I was trying to get out in front of the first car in the group I was behind and have enough time to get back over before I had to make my turn. This is all a result of me getting impatient and nailing the gas at the wrong time.If I would've realized sooner that it was a cop in front of me I would've never done what I did.I usually don't speed on this particular road because their is a sub station a few miles down the road and cops are always rolling north and southbound on it. But some people feel the need to do 45 in a 55mph zone but I guess I already passed where the speed limit drops to 50 before the cop clocked me from his rear window radar. I have a radar detector in my truck. but did'nt have it on the wind shield which I'm a lil p.o about, it would've picked up his radar and saved my tail.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions,my girl has a good attorney so I'll be on the phone tomorrow seeing what I can figure out.More than likely I'll probably just go to a ticket clinic.her brother got nailed speeding in his vette with a suspended license and the ticket clinic he went too got it taken care of and he has a worse driving record than me. So I should have a better chance. This is my very first speeding ticket since I started driving at 18 and am now 27 so almost made it 10 years with a perfect driving record. I don't have any dui's,accidents etc etc even have a squeaky clean criminal background. My dad made a valid point he said I'm surprised he just did'nt give you a warning because you have such a clean driving record but then again he probably figured he did'nt have anything on you but too stick you with a ticket instead of being cool about it and just hit me with a warning since I was pretty much almost home and off the main road.but he was doing his job so it is what it is...
