Personally pgt but your circumstances may be different. If your in pgt's main lanes he could get home everyday. I dont know much about btc but what ive heard isnt good. May just be trucker talk but when a majority say that pay and hometime stink they are the two most important things to a driver. Id also check out tmc but thats just me. Was with them for 5 yrs and they treated me great the whole time I was there. Just keep this in mind driving is not all sugar and sunshine there will be some tough times but in the end if you're a real driver you'll love every minute of it and wont be able to do anything else.

I worked for PGT. As long as you get one of the better terminals (Monaca or Gary), you can make a nice chunk of change and be home most weekends. I had one of the most unpopular dispatchers and still did pretty good. I was forced out because of an issue between myself and my dispatcher, but would work there again if I had the chance. -
We are in Maryland.....they have alot of traffic from the Baltimore terminal right?

Yes believe so. They may run into a small slow down the steel mill at sparrows point is being sold again so they may get a little light but thats not the only shipper in the Baltimore area

Save urself a lot of headaches and try maverick out of little rock Arkansas. Great benefits and home on weekends. Wish I would have stayed

Doesnt PGT have a wallboard account as well? I have heard that the Port of Baltimore is readily expanding.

i worked for btc for a little over 6 months and loved them at first. i was home friday and leaving monday morning or afternoon and bringing home at least a grand a week. my wife was pregnant by the time i started so from day one i told them shes pregnant when it gets a little closer to the due date keep me close. i gave them reminders at least once a week that it could b any day till baby is born keep me close. ever since i told them to keep me close they ran me farther away from home then they ever had before. 2 days before her due date they sent me to greensboro so i ran it thinking that theyll send me back to indiana or at least get me within a few hours of home. what do they do? they send me charleston sc. so she went into labor a day before her due date and here i am 800 miles or so away from home. they wanted me to run the load to maryland and then go home. i told the f off and ran up to nc and flew home. and now they are putting abandon load and equipment on my dac. but really i dont care bc i had already found a local job b4 they technically fired me. so all and all they are alright if you wanna get ur feet wet and learn the ropes of flatbedding. but if you need to be home for something i wouldnt count on it. all they care about is getting that load delivered. they swear up and down the driver is their number one priority. but if that was the case i wouldnt of had to spend 400 bux to fly home and would still have a good looking dac report. but hey thats just my two cents. hope it works out for you bud.
