See your problem in part is that you think that everybody who is not driving for the same company as you is OTR drivers. I spend 3 nights out a week. Rest of the time I'm raising my kids and spending time with my wife. I make about 65k a year. I'm not OTR. I haul for 1 customer. I have family life and hobbies. Not that it is any of your business.

Your problem is that trucking is a one size fits all. Not at Schneider. We have OTR, regional, intermodal, tanker, dedicated, and oil field. Bet your company doesn't have that. That's why we hire drivers is because we are a growing company.

I want in but dont want that 28 days from home stuff. Will try regional or dedicated, be nice to go tankers sense i have my tanker endorsement, and haz-mat. we'll see what they say.

Stuck on I5 because its closed due to a forest fire north of redding, not looking good.

 

oh, thats nothing, Delaware Bridge north bound was down to one lane, and backed up for HOURS cause of a jumper on the bridge, that was fun.

 

I'm at the Dallas OC. Don't see many of these anymore...

 

Anyone familiar with there part time gig? I only work about 14 days out of the month and could it seem slike it might help fill up the time.

Lol, that's crazy. I was stuck on the bridge over shasta lake for about an hour. Now I'm probably .25 miles further north. Been here for 2 hours and 17 minutes. Both north and south bound I5 closed. Last I heard it was up to a 150 acre fire and 0% contained.
