Ben, did you go to a trucking school? Or did you get the licence on your own? I saw on another forum that people just got did the written test at the DMV and paid a company in TX $299 to rent a truck and take the test at DMV. I am not sure if I should this. I dont want to be a OTR driver, I just want the licence to drive for oil companies in TX. Not sure if these companies would hire if you are new but didnt go to a school.
-
that was me and it is $399 ~ the place that said they would do it for $250 is only interested in the beefy-babe they have driving the truck, I will go for the driving test 8-th August- who if anyone will actually hire me is not like you are going to no put work into the search and find them but if you get in the truck and cannot handle it it will show and so very fast so dont waste anyone's time if you are not ready for it.......dozens of companies but you have to dig the listings yourself as no one is going to do it for you
-
Yeah, that's the place. The one with the busty lady, lol. My head is spinning from all the research I have been doing and sometimes I can't think straight.
-
I am spinning or at least have been for oh, perhaps a month or so,....talking to one or two others about all this and hope to write computer-code to share all the newspaper classifieds ~ the guy that wont do the jack-around is RenDel L.L.C...... best till a moment ago was Nabors, who is calling for multiple skill experiences in eagle ford shale but seems right this moment we need to look at weatherford fracturing technologies alice tx

the two friends I have listed are interested and there is some "channel" with a sailboat icon who is actually driving for a company already then there are several others ~ seems either they are driving or otherwise legit - I will pm you the listing for the no-jack instructor, I have talked to the person on the phone and Jeff knows what is going onWant2 Thanks this. -
Nicholas, got your PM. Thanks for the number and for posting the video. It rocks. That's some mainly work right there and far from the white collar desk job I was doing. Time to man up.

Back in April I was at Thomas Petroleum in Robstown. They were looking for bobtail drivers at that time. You could always ive them a call. Ask for Melissa

Can someone who is hauling oil in TX now tell me if this is true...I heard oil haulers dont do a grind ouut

A lot of the trucks used by Frac crews require Class. The reason is the pumps take up every inch of a semi-tractor trailer. Now they tend to have a small data truck or crane but anyone wih a Class a can drive them and there is a lot of class A drivers.
Now with that said, I would check out Wireline companies. They use small Bobtail logger trucks and smaller cranes that only require a Class B. FYI: they use explosives so you will need your Hazmat endorsement. Another option is Bobtail tankers hauling diesel. Thomas Fuls, Startex, or Sunco just to name a few use them to refuel Frac pumps. Both the bobtail diesel tankers and Wireline work with Frac crews. -

Startex is just off East Hwy 158 in Midland and Sunco has taken over the Midland Holiday Inn on Business Loop 20.
