Any central drivers have problems getting a cb to work on your dash mount? I have lights but it won't tune. New fire sticks, dual mount and a new cobra 29 ltdbt. I know there's a cb thread but hoping maybe one of you have ran across this. It won't cal at all...

Try getting a new cable . It sounds like the stock wires may have been burnt up or disconnected. The stock cb cables in most trucks are garbage. I had mine worked on and the guy deleted one of the antennas. I now have a dummy antenna on the passenger side. This also helped me get a better signal.

Any idea where they'd be disconnected at because it does seem like I just don't have antennas... Spent all my money on the setup just to have it not work! This is a 2013 386 so I don't think there's any wythey could be burned up yet...

It could be a bad ground also. Take the cover off over the dash mount on the ceiling there's a big coax that goes down to you cb with a splitter to go to each mirror mount, take one off at a time to see if it's one or the other. If it is just use the one antenna. You'll be putting out more signal and the SWR will not be as big of a deal. On dual antenna setups antenna heights must be real close to cut down on SWR. There's really nowhere to look other than the grounds and the coax itself.

Welp, here we go. Leaving the house in just a few minutes to go to Fontana for Round 2. (BP got just a lil over the Work Well physical limit last time.) We'll see how it goes. I suspect I'll pass this time. One question remains now (that wasn't there 4 weeks ago). Last time I was there, it was 'Free tuition'. When I failed, I asked Ryan Williams if there would be any additional tuition charges for me to come back. He indicated there would not be. A couple days ago, Ryan Bird (my recruiter) indicated I would be getting charged for my tuition. I'll have to check this out. Not sure what I'll do if they DO charge me. Technically I did start the 'training' process back then. Especially since they said I would not have to fill out any additional paperwork when I come back.

I could have been driving for another company by now if I hadn't wanted to finish what I started with Central. I'll mention that tomorrow I guess. It's purely H**L being someone that's optimistic by nature and pessimistic by training and experience. <chuckle>

Ever seen two central drivers about get in a fight over an empty trailer? LOL!! I have, in one of our drop yards. With all the drop and hook loads central has, I guess empty trailers are hard to come by.

I stopped in Fontana couple weeks ago to wash out my trailer. As I get out a guy comes over, ask if the trailer is mt. I told him yes, but I was washing it out and headed out. He tells me to unhook, he'll wash it out, he needs the trailer now! He's got a trainee on board and has to get going.

I told him " good luck with that. Nice try!" Then he gets pissed.

If you talk to the kid they have doing the washouts he can tell you where there are mt's. He puts them over in the school yard after he washes them out, and some still have the refer on.

On the CB question, I had a 09 volvo with burnt out wires, and my 12 cascadia had a bad ground. The CB shop at the TA in Dallas found the problem with the Cascadia, it could have been a warentee fix, but he only charged $10 so I went ahead and had him do it.
