Ok, so i just posted about my bad experience with US Exprs, however the ironic part is that im not even a cdl holder just yet, im still in school, as i said in my other post i am currenty in a 6 month school, and i am in 1 month and half so far, so read the other post on them
Anyway, im here to write about the experience i had with a recrutor we had join us at school 2 weeks ago. This lady came into our class room representing TMC, not only did she tell us " all the great things" but she sat there and said "if your looking for this that and the other thing then you need to work for us" "but if your looking for this that and the other thing, you can not work for us because of this reasson, but go and check out company x,y, and z, they will hire you because thats what they are looking for " she came in and gave us the good, the bad and the ungly about TMC, i have been there for 6 companies so far that came in, i have to just say i felt the best about this comany..

well, just my input, thought id post it up

If you have any questions about TMC, I suggest you contact "Rawlco".

He works for them and is quite happy there.

If it were me sitting in a driving school, listening to recruiters, my first question to them would be "Have you actually driven for this company that you are representing, or are you just a sales puppet for them who has never even sat in the left seat of an 18 wheeler? If not, have you ever driven a big rig, or just read about it?"

I would ask this in a respectfull manor, but still press them for qualifying backgrounds to back it al up.

I'd have ZERO respect for a "recruiter", who has never ever driven OTR, much less who could not drive a Toyota Tercel w/ a manual transmision and figgure out how to successfully spin the tires on wet ice..

I offer my angle on this, and liken it to back in the day when military officers came to your high school and gave a presentation offering the opportunities, while having the personal credentials and experience to back it up, as opposed to some woman who has read all about it, and thus "knows all"

They can BS the fans, but not the players.

Just for the record, I have never been with TMC. I have no opinion on them, be it good, bad, or indifferent. My comments are aimed soley toward the UNGODLY amount of people in the trucking sector who have never driven, but have their fingers in the community pie.

Just my old school opinion. Probably not worth much these days LOL....(grins)

    Hey, good luck!

hey 378, your opinion says it all, and i mean a lot more then prob nothing ha, seriously, the part about TMC, when she came into our school, the first thing she said was that she never DROVE on, however, she has been out otr in the right seat, and yes, your more then 100% right about the people that never drove, my recruit for school, she never drove one, however her husband does, and he tell her what to tell people when they are concidering school. but anyway your comment is 100%, 150% for that matter..... good words
Be safe out there, to all

TMC is a good company to work for. If you are willing to run hard and LEGAL, you can earn over $1000 per week your first year.

I started, but did not finish training with TMC. I had to leave them while I was on the road after a few weeks because of issues at home. I recommend this company hands down. Once I'm in a place where I can work for them again, I will.

Just so you know, this isnt a "drive down the highway relaxed and jammin to your tunes for three days" job. This is a dangerous, back breaking, joint ripping, workglove trashing, dangerous, energy sapping job. Did I mention dangerous?

You will work harder than you ever have in summer heat, trying to tie down huge lumber tarps that you had to pull out of your storage box and haul up onto the bed, then on top of the product, praying the entire time that a gust of wind doesnt blow the tarp (and you) off that tall stack of plywood that is due 650 miles away tomorrow afternoon (it's 4:30pm where you are securing - think about it). If you have been in the military, as have I, this all will be a little easier to swallow. For sedentary people, I'd stay away, unless you want to lose a LOT of weight QUICKLY.

Good thing about it is that you will be paid handsomely for the work you do. You will get home every weekend if you are on the east coast running linehaul. You will drive one of the most beautiful Pete 379's on the road, loaded with chrome and lighting that most other drivers are emptying their bank accounts to get at the T/A.

I recommend TMC, wholeheartedly. Just dont go there thinking it's going to be a leisurely driving job, it wont.

I worked for TMC and ama great driver. No tickets or accidents of any kind. Drove here nice trucks and got screwed money wise. Everything they tellyou about making good money is a lie. The story aboutpercentages and how they go up after only a month is lso a lie. They are just another company ina long line of them that BS upfront.

Look at it this way, they train 35 people every week to replace those that go sart and left them. Th company is making good money off of there practice of bringing in new meat and screwing them
