Only a few hours in on day 1 here in Utah for training, 6 people are already gone. Most due to not being honest on their criminal background check. They mean it by telling ya be 100% honest before getting out here or you get sent packing and on your dime!
Been picking the brains of alot of drivers and a couple of trainers that are current in.

Bone collector was right. Somebody disconnected the main plug and yep the SWR is a little high. Had to leave my stop but I'll play with it more tonight to see if I can dial it in with just one antenna hooked up.

Check your PA switch, make sure it is on the correct setting.
Otherwise run your own cable. The stock system goes into a central communications hub, if someone uses a higher power CB on the system at some point, it will burn up the hub.

Yeah Conley is a dang joke. I've never had trouble at wvc , I'm always picking up a load out of there heading east. Yeah I had a trainer try to pull that crap with me in Conley . Who gives a crap if he's a trainer, he can look for an empty just like everybody else. Some idiot had a kingpin lock on an empty up in romeoville, the one guy that was arguing over the empty must have gotten up with someone. They sent the trailer repair place up to torch the lock off. Now that poor idiot is out of a 100.00 kingpin lock and his empty. LoL

quick question for anyone that trains for Central Ref. I am planning on attending training the first week of September. Will their be class on Sept 3, 2012. It's a Holiday, but would be a Monday and the first day of training of a new class.

Ahh, Lads and Lassies, tis a tale of woe here to be told.

Now that I'm done being poetically Irish, Round 2 of training with Central Refrigerated in Fontana did not go well.
1: Told I would not have to re-fill the paperwork. 1a: Previous paperwork could not be located. Minor.
2: Told I would not have to pay more when I came back (Was a free tuition offer). 2a Now told $1500 tuition, which is a major change, and would have sent me elsewhere 28 days ago, which would have had me driving now if I hadn't felt a commitment to finish what I started with CRSI. Major issue.
3: Failed the dang Work Well again when Pulse rate did not QUITE come back down within spec in 2 minutes. Pass DOT, you betcha. Again. Just fine. Was told I could re-apply to recruiter in 60 days if interested. In 60 days, If I'm not getting SOME money coming in, daRotten Sweetie will probably skin me and sell that for book coverings. Kibosh on CRSI.

So Now I have to look elsewhere. With luck, tomorrow I'll find out CA will pay for me to go thru Roadmasters (in Fontana). But I'm looking even more seriously at what's available. Post or send message if you have ideas to share for my perusal.

    Thanks
    Shar

I don't know anything about them other than they have orange trucks and no work well. I chatted with a lady at a walmart with a walker who drove for Schnider. You could check them out. Again this is not a recommendation I just know they do not have a work well test.

Picked up another preload with bad brakes at natl beef yesterday, but I adjusted them myself. Just wanted to say thanks again to those of you who taught me how, because it saved me a couple hours.

bad brakes aren't fixable. they need replaced. misadjusted brakes is what you have. :biggrin_25519:

and your gonna see that on A LOT OF TRAILERS now that you know what to look for.

just don't forget to check the truck also.
