ive been driving for werner for 2 and a half years now and i want a truck with a apu. i had one for like 2 months then i was giving a new prostar that has none. i tried call many times to my dm and driver placement and i was told that their getting rid of the apu's cause they are not worth it and always breaking down. does anyone know a person i can get a hold of to get a truck with a apu.

You can buy your own truck that might have one installed. Or buy a truck and finance now at thermo.king or carrier.

or u can just idle. my boss won't put apu's on the trucks no more cause he says they break down so much. well the problem with that is, u have to SERVICE them for them to be worth it, in which he didn't do so go figure. i guess $300-400 per year was too much to spend on the tri-pacs to keep them going

Find a new company. Companies like that are just absolute despicable people.

Reefer tends to be more stable and steady work. Transam has APUs as well
