Still does not dismiss the fact Al left the Sparkys Web site open...And continued to take peoples orders and money knowing the orders would NOT get filed anytime soon...IF ever...Even if what is said is true...

If you were a business man facing these problems wouldn't you spend as many days as it took making phone contact with your customers reassuring them that you were back in the saddle. I would. That is all it would take is some reassurance from the man himself and everyone would accept that. As I have said before, it's the lack of communication that is causing the problem.

A friend from Syracuse told me that up there, a judgement can result on a lien on one's real property and up there one can be put out of one's home if it is bad enough. But that's NY and this is IL. What do I know, it's all Yankee Land with many different customsI just try to be polite when I have to go that far and hope for the best. This topic's only a view of the messy situation and probably won't be solved here. Hope it is all worked out in the end.
This kind of mess, the part of it being the tuning up of radios, is why I take mine out of the box and put them in the truck. If the modulation seems low, I talk louder and let the radio's circuits, which were hopefully designed by competent engineers, do their best. I've yet to see a radio that didn't get full modulation from moustaching the mike. Even a $40 Uniden will sound fine and if it's not enough there are more $$ choices, and amplifiers, whatever.. When it breaks I'll toss it on the parts shelf or fix it or take it somewhere local to my residence where I can drop in on the tech and say "hello", or "when will it be done", or even, "never mind, give it back".
I don't know what Sparky's offers in the way of better performance and I also understand that people want more positive modulation (meaning >100% in the positive direction, while avoiding hitting 100% in the negative and causing splatter) because it really does sound louder and helps cut through noise, but most CB radios do not have enough audio power from the modulator to do that. Hams that use AM sometimes will get 130% positive or even more like 200%, but not without a lot of work to the modulator.Last edited: Aug 4, 2012

Sorry to hear about your dealings with Al over at Sparkys...I'm also a member on his Forum, and even on his Forum there's nobody home moderating things...No one home at his shop, or on his Forum, yet both are still open like nothing was going on! -
M818:
"pls. note: above, it is "abuse of process", although reading either words, it means the same thing if you see it the right way. Any process can be abused and abusive to the defendant!"
I say it that way because the process suffers no loss, the person abused does. To say it properly in legalese makes it sound like the legal system is more important than the victim. Not surprising as legal minds thought it up, what do they care about people. In the first Jurassic Park I was rooting for the T-Rex in the outhouse scene.
