Do not put wet clothes in your laundry bag. Hang them up in your sleeper, until they dry, then put them in your laundry bag. Go to Tractor Supply and buy a few pairs of their lightweight coveralls, to wear when loading and unloading. It makes a big difference.

 

Yea, we're special alright! I think most of us went to "Special" class, in school. Even got to ride the short bus and lick the windows!

 

Whew I know what you mean. No day cab for me but loading is unreal heat
full PPE (personal protective equipment) standing on top of the tanker while it's 100 degrees or higher loading liquid asphalt that is 360degrees. the heat is almost unbearable. Lots of water just try to stay hydrated.

 

Just got back from dropping an oversize load in Phoenix on Friday.

I had to lay on the cement to get my chains off... felt like I was being fried for breakfast. When I stood up, I had to grab the side of my load to keep from doing a face plant.

I decided to go sit in the cab for a while and cool off.

 

Low 80's here in Nebraska the last 2 days...... I've spent them all sitting in a hotel room too

 

Why ? you gonna do a drive by ?
