I worked for H. R. Ewell for 6 months. I was pretty happy there. The area I ran in was from St. Albans, VT to Madison, WI to Dallas, TX to Savannah, GA up to Newark, NJ area back up to St. Albans, VT. Draw a circle around these points and I ran anywhere inside this "circle." They go into Canada quite frequently, though I never went. Equipment is top notch. Benefits seemed good, never had to use them, and definitely some of the lowest cost insurance I've ever had. If I can remember, I think it was like $65/week for family Ins.

Most of the people there were pretty nice and friendly (drivers, office, and shop/wash bay.) The only reason I left was that I kept running into Prime tanker drivers at the same places that Ewell went and they seemed to be doing much better. After being over there I realized the only way to do good at Prime was to never come home. I was going to go back to Ewell when my old day cab container hauling job started hiring again so I went back there to be home everyday (my wife's choice) since we have a baby on the way. I wished I'd went back to Ewell now.

Yes Ewell has its problems (some will make you wanna pull your hair out) but every company does. Over all I would recommend Ewell. Anymore questions, just let me know and I'll try and answer them as best I can. Hope this helps.
