It serves Harrisburg, but is actually in Jonestown. Likewise Dallas is served by the Lancaster terminal.

I'd imagine it would be the same/similar to new driver orientation.

It is nearly identical for the experienced drivers vs the newbies fresh out of school. Only difference is you take a road test the first day, where they decide if you need a "refresher" with a mentor for 50-100 hrs, or straight to your own truck, or if they won't hire someone. To flat out fail the road test, you have to hit something, jump a curb (which they will not put you in a situation where you have to), lose a gear and have to stop the truck to get back into gear. stuff like that. Usually, I've seen drivers that can't shift very well, or maintain a lane are the ones that get the 50-100 hr refresher. Also, swift's policy is double-clutching. Some testers are "If you can float better than double clutching, do that", others are "Swift's policy is double clutch, you have to do that." Both times I went to orientation in Lancaster, TX (quit, came back a year later), I asked. First time they made me double clutch, second time I floated.

Besides the road test, everything is exactly the same. And from what I have seen, orientation is pretty standardized between all the hiring locations.

1st day is paperwork, road test, whiz quiz, and physicals (most people sent home this day fail the road test)

2nd day is death by PowerPoint, and paperwork (Most people sent home this day studied for the drug test the wrong way)

3rd day is death by PowerPoint, driver code assignment (Once you have this, you are officially hired), mentor assignment (for those who get one)
