I won't go into it all but I really want to know in general is Maverick or Transport America better over all. I see some differences but over all what do you folks think?

Personally I would go with Mav. But thats because I won't pull vans.
-
Why won't you pull vans?
-
There is no challenge to pulling wuss wagons. Mind numbingly boring. I like the challenge of properly securing open trailer freight so that it arrives with no damage or loss claims.
PLUS when was the last time you saw a flat bed blown over from high wind??????????????????????
Nuff said.
bugsy siegel and ChainBinder Thank this. -
Well the issue is with me getting that 1-2 years of experience in without being gone the whole time. With maverick it is just some on the weekend (great company from what I see). Transport America gives 4 options, over the road 7/7 7/4 or south east regional. I have to decide what to do either go back to Maverick or go to orientation at TA week after next. I am new to this field and trying to find a doable compromise between money and home time. After I get some experience then I hope to have more options to look at.

That is a difference with just starting out and some one with experience. -
Yeah I know. I need to do 1-2 some were the issue is am I better served at Maverick or TA?
-
Well it probably boils down to the home time issue that you mentioned. Obviously taking a week off every few weeks isn't going to make as much money, but you do have to have the right balance of home time and income for you and your family. -
But is TA a good enough company to spend 1-2 years at? I have heard good and not to much bad. Do you have any opinion?

Not always a 34 restart at home. I got home tonight (thursday) and del monday.
