Not so complicated just thought it through, I was wondering about the size deal myself. My adjuster has plenty of room so I could go either way also. I agree about the KW cost of the pulley a bit rich for my blood, its just a pulley. Even with the shipping sounds like Truck Pro would work for me long as I am planning ahead. Good break down on the info though thanks...

I'm with you on that. Expect to pull 100 Amps for every 1000 Watts that you use, accounting for the 80% efficiency of today's inverters. Don't forget to allow your batteries to charge after you're done with your electrical load if you've exceeded the alternator's capacity with the load.Junkyard Johnney Thanks this.

Don't be so sure about that adjuster. It LOOKS like it's got a lot of headroom, but when you look at the angle of adjustment, it's not as much as you'd think.
With my adjuster fully retracted, I still could not go to a 1/2" shorter belt. And with the belt that it called for, I got to the end of the adjustment before the tension was correct. Very little room to play with.Junkyard Johnney Thanks this. -

Again, this was for my 1999 KW W900L with a Detroit S60 engine...

Sorry - Cant find that receipt...so I went out and looked and the numbers are rubbed off.

Ugh! It took me 4 hours and a 60 mile round trip to find a matched pair of the correct sized belts for mine one Saturday in Elkton, MD. Everyone had either 1/2" too big or 1/2" too small. The ones you have sound like they're the equivalent of 1/4" smaller than stock, which would be perfect.

I had that issue with the 3 fan belts I had to replace...what a pain.
I might have a part number...let me look one other place..... -
I got the fan belts and a/c belt at NAPA yesterday. Two of the three fan belts looked like they'd been on the shelf for 20 years, and those were the last three they had in that size!
It's the alternator belts that gave me the trouble.
