Regarding truck parking at some hotels ... I too have used google earth to try and figure out the property ahead of time. I'd pay $50 a year for a web subscription to a database of hotels that support 70' trucks. The database would have to "built and maintained by truckers" (somehow) with a uniform understanding of what constitutes truck parking availability, number of spaces, circle in clockwise or counter-clockwise if parking is not visible from front, amenities, distance to nearest convenience store and restaurant, is the price to overall quality in line, etc.
Many hotels have great parking and don't advertise, many advertise truck parking but it's minimal, at best. I'm for a bargain-priced room, but every now and then there is a hotel that is too trashy even for me to ever consider returning.

My wife is controller at a large hotel chain And I get crazy deals, that said, I've only used it a couple times when my truck was In servi e. I find checkingin and out a pain, I have everything in my truck I need. Now my last truck had an APU and the next probably won't so this may change if I'm doing a reset on the road.

You should also use Bing Bird's Eye View. Just type the address or hotel in Bing Maps and click on the Bird's Eye button and zoom in. You can't do it on a phone.
You can see here where the horse trailer is parked there is a grass/dirt lot next to the hotel. I would call ahead and make sure trucks are okay to park there. For some reason I can't generate a large copy of the image. Probably because of copyright stuff. But you get a full screen of a shot like this.

Never used bing but that view looks sharper than most on Google Earth -
Bird's Eye is more of an angled view instead of looking straight down. It does give more detail.
