No, that would be SR-16 in Washington State.

Delivered in Pasco today and then picked up a load in Lewiston ID. Headed for Stockton delivers on Monday. I'm running on recap now so I probably have to deliver this one rather then hitting the drop yard a day early.

Rizen im not trying to hijack your post I was with knight about a year ago and had a bad time I wound up being in the shop for 4 days in bakersfield with knight paying for a hotel for 3 days then trying to get a driver to take me to the tulare yard for the last night I wound up paying for the last night in the hotel I then sat for another 3 days waiting on a load I got a 125 mile run and said I can't do this anymore and I quit im out of the phoenix yard I just recently came back to knight after a year off I worked at a school as a transportation director and at a temp agency driving truck well when school got out my hours got cut way back as well as pay so I decided to com back to knight I've been back for about a month now and I will say this has been the best time ive ever had in my first 3 weeks I ran over 10k miles legally and safely my dad had a heart attack and I was in lebanon oregon I called my dm and told him what was going on and I had 2 loads one to tecate ca (san diego area) then to chula vista to tolleson I was running out of hours so I called my driver development guy hitchcock and told him what was going on he said if I had called him earlier he'd have flown me from la to phx to be home but as I was 100 miles from yuma he said there wasn't much he could do but for me to get to yuma take my 10 and come home I had a drop in tolleson asap and he said if anything were to go south call him and he'd come pick me up personally and take me to the hospital (my dad was going in for quadruple bypass at 10 am phx time) I got to the final and dropped my wife was on here way to the yard to get me and I went in to see him his first question to me was "why are you still here? Go be with your family" I told him thank you and id be back on Monday ( well in the course of all this happening it was also my birthday and I was moving I just got a house) Monday came around and id finished moving late Sunday night and needed to go to dmv on Monday and say ill be ready Tuesday morning ( I got to phoenix on Thursday) Tuesday morning I load up the truck and am walking into the office and my dm texts me when are you gonna be ready I walk in and my dm and hitchcock and I all sit down and I tell them all that had happened and they were right there for me they both insisted that my mother have both of the personal cell phone numbers and they were gonna keep me withing a days drive of home just in case everyone knows as well as I do if your out of the truck more than 2 days you gotta clean it out so they can put another driver in it they never questioned me I took 5 days off I've been back running alot to yuma to industry to phoenix making miles and coming home to spend time with family I really hope you get it all straightened out if noone believes me on this pm me and ill give you my number and you can call me and I can prove every bit of it is true as both hitchcock and my dm said were family and we need to take care of our own and im one of their own right now im sitting in yuma cause I made a mistake and didn't scale but that's on me like I said I hope all goes well and you get things taken care of sorry for the long post

Don't be sorry paintball, posting is what this forum is for. Glad to hear that your having a different experience the second time around.

As for me it's working it self out. So far, it's actually been really good. I've gotten paid for everything I've done and gotten decent miles too. To be honest, I actually made more thanks to the locals last week then if I had only run miles. My truck is acceptable, not great, but acceptable. It's got some minor issues that hopefully will get corrected when I take hometime. It pulls slightly to the right, the right side hood latch likes to pop loose on occasion, and the driver seat has a slow air leak.

I'm kind of disapointed with this 387 though. You would think that with that big of sleeper it would have lots of storage but nope. There is more storage space in a volvo670. I miss my old 379. Little things are missing from the 387 that would be nice too, like reading lamps on the lower bunk.

I've got a 387 myself and there's plenty of storage for me in the 2 cabinents and mine has the reading lamps in the lower bunk I said the same thing when I got into mine and I was laying in bed one night and reached up for the ac vent and my hand hit the lamp mine also has a few issues main 2 are the tractor abs and the trubo boost pressure low and I think the ac needs a recharge im sitting in yuma still and its 115 outside and its like 85 in here with both acs on high but this just started like 2 days ago so can't complain to much gotta get it into the shop back in phoenix if I hadn't of screwed myself it would prolly be fixed already I had a load going to yuma way late though no fault of my own I get down here at 4 and they stop receiving at 3 so phoenix says take it to calexico well its 44899 and I didn't scale in phx cause I didn't worry about it no scale houses between phx and yuma well before crossing the state line I scaled im 1500 over on my drives with the tandems all the way forward my fault I shoulda scaled in phoenix

Well you are right, I just found the reading light in mine.

There seems to be a theme today, Craig and Anne over in the USxpress section are also having california problems because they didn't scale their load when they picked it up.

Good to hear someone say good things about Knight, I am going to start orientation 8/20 in the refrigerated division. I've been away from trucking and I am looking foreword to getting back to it. All I have ever driven was freightliners with CR Eng. & JB Hunt. They had alot of storage in the cab and lighting on the bunks. They seemed to be under powered but I can't compare them to any other rig cause I havn't driven any. Do either of you have any drive time in freightliners? What's your take on them? Also, with Knight whats better, OTR or reginal? I have driven both and I know a little about the ups and downs, but wich one gets me the most miles/money?

Being otr or regional is going to be up to you for me being otr works I like the east coast and prefer to drive the east coast I despise california you will make pretty much the same amount of money and as far as freightshakers knight doesn't have any you will most likely get a volvo or an international but there is a possibility of a peterbilt volvos are ehh ok the turn on a dime but the ride like #### internationals I can't say much on I've only been in 2 one was an old students and the other was for a road test they are quiet ride nice shift a little different they hold their rpms lots of storage the and turn decently but not like a volvo the petes are huge don't turn worth a #### have an ok ride huge bunk but kinda lacks on storage but knight is slowly phasing them out

Ok thanks for the info paintballspk, whats the refergerated division drive most of? I am leaning towords going OTR, that way I can visit some family once in awhile. I gotta Daughter in PA and a Grand Daughter I've never seen also in PA, a sister in the Denver area too. I have run the I-5 between Los Angeles and Seatle, its a good run but it get old after awhile. Guess I have a short attention span.
