Thats all this industry has to offer, and guess what even if all of you guys complaint about getting ripped of, nothing will ever happen to them. Just like I hauled a load for Allen Lund Company from GA area and delivered 100% on their terms in CT. They took their time to load me in 5 hours and unload in 7 hours. Did not pay me any fuel advance as promised and requested, instead gave me all kind of crap. It has been almost a year now but no money. Its about $3000. I went to bond and their answer was to go back to them. (My question, WTF the bond is there for then? You are telling me US Bond is a joke? The rules is that the bond should ask for the bill and evaluate the legitimacy of the charges and pay it promptly) After consulting a few lawyers I filed in the court, and they some how got the judge to dismiss the case. Like I said earlier WTF. Until we all care for each other and stick together they will manipulate the heck out of you. OOIDA is no help, they are probably working with these gangsters behind the seen.

What did this have to do with this thread? Did I miss something?
Sent from somewhere out there on the road. -
yes I went through driver solutions got on with USA truck i went through my training and came back to do my road test firstly the truck was an old piece of junk with very loose gears they had so much play in it ive put it in reverse when trying to put it in second then i came to a light it turned yellow but i was too close to the light to stop without putting the guy grading me through the windshield so i felt committed to make it well it turned red on me well that was all it took not only did i fail i was fired on top of that. ok let me explain the scam involved with this
Trucking school $1500
amount you pay usa truck by the time you complete the 1 year contract for the school $2000 wtf even completing the contract you still pay them more then the school cost plus you ran for them that whole time on cheap rates .25 cents a mile
now here is the scam you quit or get fired hell they fired a friend of mine because he complained about his trainer making him take a dump in a trash bag on the truck cause he didnt have time to stop but if that happens you now owe a whopping $6000 plus interest
there still calling me trying to collect my bill is over $8000 now with the interest i told them where to go since it is a scam they will keep harassing me instead of bringing it to court so im not worried plus i got my cdl for free dont fall for this scam
funny part is they fired me after i got on with star transport got 6 months experience then went owner op with crst don't recommend them but did that 6 months took a year off after inheriting a lot of money now i own my own trucking company only got the 1 truck but its all paid for so are all my operating expenses for the next year -
I start with USA on the 22nd when I go in for orientation. I have read about most of the major carriers, and it seems that they all have their problems. I went with USA, because my options were CR England, or USA. I have heard more nightmare stories about CR than I have about any other company. I need a job that pays more than $20,000 a year, as I have a family. I understand the sacrifice, but it is a necessary evil, and I am willing to put up with a lot to make that dollar. I am glad that you all take the time to let new drivers like me know what to expect. Thank you all. Be safe!

I've been with USA since 2009, and yes there are times I'd like to bash some heads together, but for the most part I am happy here. I have good equipment, an awesome FM, and my miles are respectable. Even over in the main office, I have always been treated with respect and at least acknowledged by every administrative employee I have passed in the hall and such. They didn't just walk past me like I didn't exist with their noses up in the air. Mr Lawrence at West Memphis is one of the nicest men you would ever want to meet. Calvin, who I think goes between VanBuren and Chicago, is a good guy too, you just gotta be patient with his sense of humor, he tries too hard sometimes. Ms. Mary, the shuttle driver makes the BEST cookies and breads all at a steal of a deal. The maintenance department, I gotta give a shout out to Joe in West Memphis, David in Van Buren (I just love him, I'd let him marry my younger sister) Johnathan and oh lord i forgot his name, but i always call him "trouble", if he sees this, he'll know who i'm talking about..LOL. On the night dispatch, Jon, is a nice guy, and Mike (i havent heard him in a while, i hope he's still around). Angela in Saftey, Frankie in Payroll, and that nice lady who answers the main number when you call, i don't remember her name, these are all good folks. I'm not naming all the good folks cause there are a lot more. Oh and my fleet manager, Joe Wood, he is my friend (on facebook too) and like a brother to me.
I guess what I'm getting at is USA Truck is not perfect, but when you go at it with an open mind and a good attitude you'll do just fine. I know I could easily go to any other trucking company in the world and make way more money, but I think it's always best to stay where you know what you're dealing with. An awesome fleet manager is so few and far in between that i know i will not get that lucky anywhere else. So, i take the lumps, and yes i will say something when i think i'm getting a raw deal, and usually everything is worked out. I know that last year when my momma died, USA Truck moved mountains to get me where I needed to be, for as long as I wanted to be with no problem. I didn't need for anything cause Joe made sure I had anything I wanted (time,money,etc..) They even bailed me out financially last year with a huge private loan. That usually doesn't happen with many companies. But USA cares.
Now, for our company financials, yes, our stock prices are laughable, basically penny stock, but I know that will pick up one of these days. I wish that they could get the right stuff going on in our company to pull us out of this huge slump we've been in for 3 years. The economy has knocked us around a bit, but not knocked us out. Cliff Beckham (President & CEO) could just listen a little more to the drivers view point, we may start getting some where. It's not always about the lack of miles Cliff that make us insane at times. We have the potential to be an amazing company, we are big enough to compete, yet small enough to stay human. All the right people are in place, we just need to be a bit more active and not so much reactive.
As for all the people who are on here bashing USA, there is probably a lot more to everyone's story. They are not in the habit of firing people for no good reason and they #### sure are not out to steal your money. Maybe if some of you would spend a little more time moving the truck around and a lot less time playing the video games in the drivers lounge your checks may look a lot like mine. Stop ######## about your little 200 mile run, cause they are almost always backed up with a good run, it's all about that spider lane dispatching web thingy..LOL..If you piss em off you will be puddle jumping for a month, that's just how it goes, you are owed nothing, not every run is going to be huge it just doesn't work that way. Students who fall outta their trainers trucks expecting massive miles, and huge paychecks need to move to the back of the line, you are not going to be mistreated, but don't come out with this attitude that USA owes you big miles. They owe you nothing. They give you an expensive machine and entrust you to safely and ON TIME deliver the load with minimal mistakes, so just do the job. If you have a chip on your shoulder cause you make .26 cpm and you only get 1500-2000 miles a week, get over it. You knew when you signed on what the pay was, and simple math could tell you what to expect when you end a week. If you are late with loads, always doing stupid stuff like "getting lost" getting tickets, and just basically being a pain in the ###, yes, your life is going to be miserable, but that happens at ALL companies. If a $200-300 check is not something you can live with, then being a new truck driver is going to kill your will to live, but it's just a fact of life. You have to earn your stripes, after the end of that year, when your pay jumps to .34 cpm, you will be sooo much happier, but you gotta get to that point. I tell everyone, including my students ( i only trained 2 cause students #2 scared the beeJesus outta me)the first year of trucking is a gut wrenching and depressing time. The pay sucks, the miles suck, the hometime sucks, the job sucks,etc....but after that first year, the clouds part and a little ray of sunshine sits on you and all the sudden you can afford that much needed aspirin, and the occasional steak dinner. It's a beautiful thing. Well, that's all for me now, I got work to do. Good luck and God Bless. Be safe!goodchoice10 Thanks this. -
Oh my God! How much did they pay you to post this fairy tale???
-
I agree jozett. I'm still in my first year. I average 2200+ miles a week. And it's going up. That average goes back to week one on my own when I got a huge 1600 miles lol. I to have a great FM. she takes care of me because I run for her. Most of the office people I have meet have been nice and helpful. Now a few I could care less about but that's as much personality clashes as anything.
As far as Joe in west Memphis goes. He can kiss my butt. I'd say more but this forum won't let me. (actually he is a good friend of mine and has been for many years)
I have had a couple of incidents. One pretty bad in my view. So far I'm not fired. All I have had was the big talk. I've managed before and I'm still not sure on how I'd have handled my situation. They have been fair (so far). I really can't complain. Got my sign on bonuses on time and the last one was more than I thought it would be. I have received my raises on time. Even got a surprise $0.02 a mile raise last month. I believe the new guys get $0.28 a mile starting now

Yeah, that must be it. All the "disgruntled" drivers are playing video games all day. They don't know how to work hard like you do.
-
You can make $40,000 a year driving an OIL DELIVERY TRUCK.
Why in the name of God would anybody live in a truck for weeks on end for $300 a week?
It's people like this guy that drag all of our wages down; even a new driver should be able to clear at least $35,000 in their first year, provided tthat the can actually do the job.
$300 a week, wtf........ -
Yeah, I see them all the time, sitting around doing nothing because dipatch hasn't sent them a load for two days.
Lazy ########.
Must be all their fault.......bigjoel Thanks this.
