I've posted both here and on Maverick bs thread.
My first week in TCD is over and went really well.
Monday morning I hooked to an empty trailer, set it for frozen and went over to Tennessee Pride in LR and picked up a load for a driver who needed it to get home.
He had picked up a load for me going to Manchester PA. We made our swap at the yard and I headed to PA. It had a Thursday 1400 delivery but I was able to drop it in a day early.
There weren't any empties so I bob tailed to Tootsie Roll in Hazleton and picked up a 2 dropper. The 1st was just up the road in Taylor PA and the final was back down in Harrisburg.
I got a broker load of dry freight through CHR that delivers in Arkadelphia AR Monday morning. That's am 1189 mile start to my week.
I'm home now until Monday morning then I'll probably get a load of chickens out of Pine Bluff after I deliver in Arkadelphia.

Who are you talking to?

Well I got back home yesterday afternoon from a week of military school. It was my 5th survival school in just over 2 years. It was fun, but tough & rough on my body. I'm just glad that that is the last survival school that I can go thru. Now to spend the weekend taking care of some things around the house & getting my truck back in order. See y'all out on the road. Trk #12396
JimTheHut Thanks this. -
Picked up Monday at US in Gary going to ball in Springdale Arkansas. Then reloaded out of Fort Smith going to Chicago. While sitting in Chicago waiting to unload central states gave me a call to see if I would make a pedal run for them Friday. Did a five stop load for them Friday. Made it home at two o'clock.
I pick up at US steel on Monday for Paris Texas.
Have a great weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride. -
I think I see either a load of lumber, plywood or particle board in your future.
-
yes can you say hope Arkansas, or is that new Boston. LOL -
Particle board in Hope. Plywood in Gurdon. If you go to Gurdon they have a tarping machine but they prefer you go to the truck stop to tarp because when you're using the machine, they can't load trucks. It's a poor set up.
-
Kinda like Mac steel? Tarp on the scale....genius.
-
Not quite...The tarping machine is right next to the loading area. They can only load 1 truck at a time. Once loaded and the fork lift driver sets your tarps on top and you pull forward, out of the way and strap then back up and head back to the scales then head to the truck stop about 5 miles away. It's nice to have a tall ladder with you because it can be hell to get down off the load once you've unrolled your tarps.Evil_E Thanks this.

Yeah its easier at the t/s. I just make sure one of ny straps is near the front of the load so I have a handhold.
Evil_E Thanks this.
