No it's not. This is serious. Please leave your "fun and games" back over at the "fun and game" threads of the political forum.

$6,000 per year, is everything (insurance wise) right?

I'm guessing, since I have a HazMat endorcement, that if I wanted to haul hazmat, under my authority, my insurance would also go up. I haven't seen many hazmat loads on faltbeds. I've heard that HazMat isn't worth the homeland security BS. And that the loads revenues aren't worth the extra $$$$ you have to dish out.

    good luck with hazmat.

One agent I talked with said it would cost me almost $20K annually for hazmat. Plus I needed to have 5 years experience of DOCUMENTED loads hauling the stuff.

Yeah, the Hazmat stuff is a lot of BS. The guys I pulled for before, had HazMat carriers authority. But we pulled a huge amout of refrigerated HazMat. That paid really well. Especially LTL. But I'm not interested in refer trailers right now.

We pay our upfront for the year, this saves us about $1,200.00 ish per year. Why pay a bunch of interest by paying your insurance month to month?

I'm all for paying in advance. But being leased to a freight hauling company for the last 6 to 8 months, hasn't allowed me anything extra. Hopefully CRST Malone will help me change that. From what I've been hearing, the truck is going to get about .75cpm more than I've been hauling. Hopefully more on several occasions.

I feel you might be correct... Too bad it's not the lottery, because you have amazing odds to NOT find a good rate out of there LOL
