I run California every week from the East Coast, never been inspected for CARB or any other air quality control, always pulled into scale houses running permit loads and they never ask or check. The tractor I drive is not CARB compliant and they never look at me twice besides inspections for safety.

Oh you just opened up a big can of worms... Get ready for all the stories about trucks getting shut down all over everywhere in CA at emissions checkpoints all over the state every day of the week. I read a post from someone in the garage section a long time ago that claimed CARB officials setting up shop temporarily in CA scales really have no authority to come chase you down if they wave you over for a check and you just continue to drive on past back onto the interstate like you didn't see them. And the DOT officers in the scalehouse could really care less if you thumb your nose at CARB officer because that's not their bearuacracy. Now this could be just some truck stop lawyer talk so don't take my word for it. I'd hate to see you get arrested by CARB LoL but in all seriousness I think a lot of this is much ado about nothing.

well that sucks but luckily i have anticipated it would happen eventually which is also why i went ahead and had an eobr installed into truck going through jj keller its all been setup before i even hit the road so no worries there. yeah it kinda sucks in a way but honestly i hated elogs at first but after having them when i leased with crst as easy as it was i kinda liked it cause i was always behind on my logs i was asking for a ticket never got one though but as a carrier i hear the carrier fines are way worse then the driver fines now i have to worry about both.

if you use a fractoring company, make sure they r a non recourse company, this means that they verify the shippers credit and funds, a non recourse company will pay you, and even if the shipper does not pay the freight bill, thay will go after them (not U) they must b a non recourse fractoring company!!!!!!!

they are in my opinion the whole point of paying them the 4% is cause they take the risk thats what you pay them for if they wont take the risk then to me there is no point in using them and to me that is a scam
