    Okay, here's one.

When I was out with my trainer, he jokingly said, as he was a minute away from running out on his drive time on his Qualcomm, that despite what I may have heard, the truck will not automatically stop when he runs over his time.

So, I thought that was just a joke until I was speaking to a driver one day who had never had a Qualcomm. He mentioned that he'd hate to be stuck somewhere when his truck turned off, therefore he'd never go on electronic logs.

Really? For real people think this? Like I'd be driving down the road and my s hit would just turn off? Puh-lease, lol.

Only if you are in lane # 1 of an 18 lane freeway in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic and traveling at 90 MPH.:biggrin_25521:

You are wrong the fan is the same as the propeller on a aero plane, it will speed you up, or will it? Let's get a big government grant do that we can work on this really big problem until we retire!

It takes almost 50 hp on some engines to turn the fan. So that extra drag becomes brake hp. So yes fan on will help indirectly slow you down when used with the jakes.

When I was trained 5yrs ago I was taught to turn the fan on going down a hill, not to slow down, but cool the engine as much as possible while you don't need the power. Then when you start climbing the hill on the other side, your engine will be as cool as it can be, and not cut in for longer, and decreasing power when you need it most.

    Yeah...the in-laws.

I tell my students the same thing.

As for the fan helping you maintain a constant downhill speed, in my experience, it does.
