Good luck, freight to IL and IN are basically non -existent right now. All the big companies seem to have gobbled it all up to get their trucks to the money area. I know, I've been trying to find a load over $2 a mile back home every week. It's getting to be a joke

We haul lots of TQL loads. They all pay well over $2.00 per mile and we have no problems. We sometimes get detention on long waits. They are as good or better than many brokers. My only complaint is the minions calling and waking you as my truck runs on lunar power. If you call in when you shutdown, that usually doesn't happen.

You see him on here after months of being too busy to visit and you really have to ask that? LOL

Guessing it worked out with Danny since he didn't come back on here raising hell about it. To expand on what lonely said, TQL won't pay a TONU invoice if you aren't dispatched. Until then, you move toward the shipper at your own risk. It's slimy, but it is in the fine print on their rate confirmation.

Other than a subset of their brokers/load planners employing some blatantly dishonest tactics to get carriers to call or position equipment, they do pay on time and pay their accessorials without trying to screw you with an advance payment fee. It takes a few calls and a few loads to figure out who the (few) good guys are there. Sometimes you have to take a deep breath and not let the bad ones get you so butt hurt that you walk away from the good ones.

Hey-I've dealt with TQL for about a month and a half now. Can't complain too much.A few way too cheap loads i turned down.My last load i took was listed in three cities on both sides. So i've learned how to decipher that kind of listing. So far they do pay when they say.It takes some back and forth to get the rate at a good price.Take care.Brian

Yep, so far so good ! no problems loading and it's delivering to an HD Supply yard in Billings. I really can't anticipate any trouble with HD, I've delivered to many of their facilities before. And you are correct, I would have been on here raising all kinds of it if there was any trouble. lol

The only thing that I thought was kind of odd or shady was when I was saying I can't go to MT for less than "X" he told me. "Well look at it this way, even if you deadheaded all the way back to SC you'd still make $1.30/mile average. (for his price)" and then proceded to tell me that even that was a pretty good rate. In hindsight I guess maybe that should have upset me, like this is my business and he's telling me what rate is good or not. But I honestly don't really care about stuff like that, if they think I just fell off the turnip wagon yesterday or I'm gonna buy into that kind of logic that can only mean they underestimate me and that really gives me extra leverage.

Yeah at that point you're getting business advice from a TQL call-center broker that was probably selling smoothies or theater tickets at the mall last week. Easier to just say, "Maybe a good rate for someone else" and let it go. That usually ends that train of thought with even real brokers that are just cheap.

The disturbing thing is that someone is taking that rate to make them even suggest that.

WOW not sure what TQL people you guys have been dealing with. But for the past 15 years I've never had a problem with them.

I've gotten the wrong address's. Paid late on a "1-day-quickpay" like 5 days late. Hauled a few blind shippments where TQL made out good where I only made out fair. Picked up loads that was supposed to be LTL and ended up TL. Delivered a 1000 mile load to a shipper that didn't want the stuff. Ghost loads everywhere posted on the internet where they arn't where they say they are. Had one that said a bunch of curse words to me because I was 1.5 hours late on a shippment that wasn't even ordered that day. Had once picked up a load and was told on the phone that they couldn't pay me what the confirmation said and wanted me to do it for less. Charge $25 for a fuel advance.

You mean to tell me TQL is a good broker to deal with?
