I'll tell ya, I think there is a large untapped market to service the trucking industry. We work long hours and want to eat well. We need good healthy food and tools that are quick and convenient. Would love to cook and clean up in minimal time.
I'm thinking the use of aluminum foil and foil containers are probably the best ways to make cleaning up easy. Bake, steam, boil.
Just gotta figure out frying. Probably don't want to do much of that anyway. -
Heres a great crockpot recipe. Find the cooking bags either for the crock-pot or even the oven bags work just as well. This means NO CLEAN UP

Add a your fave peice of beef sized to your pot.
Add your veggies, mini carrots, potatos, onion, or whatever you like
Pour in some Kraft Catalina dressing. (Hubby likes the spicy one best.) Small pot use about 1/2 reg size bottle---bigger pot I use all of it.
Cook until tender.
Hubby likes this served over the refrigerated mashed potatos.
The dressing adds the flavor and its really good. You can also add some garlic or onion powder, and pepper. Avoid adding salt, the dressing adds enough.
Some crusty bread and you have a great meal.
This tastes even better the next day.
If I have any left, I add some tomato /veggie juice, corn and now we have soup.
usually doesnt last that long.
Hope you try it!
Jinxnicholas_jordan and I-80Trucker Thank this. -
my advice is to cook outside the truck on the frame between the trailer and truck or some where convienent and safe always remember about fire, i used to have them folding camping type chairs and a small table, i shopped at wal-mart parked in their lot and cooked out. the fumes from the camp stove is no good, needs lots of ventilation. also lots of things like cold cuts for sandwiches and other stuff you can buy that don't need cooking, on rainy days, i always had a cooler with ice to keep stuff cold and always kept a few gallons of water on hand for washing up and drinking. it's just like camping out. don't cook in the truck though.pes2 Thanks this.

So what about a George Foreman grill? Electric. Seems like it would work--- no? Yes?
-
Only consern i see would be the fat drip tray as long it stays under neath you will be ok if not big mess to clean up oh and you will need an inverter
-
I use a George Forman it works great but toss the drip tray and just set it on a paper plate then when you are done throw the whole mess away.
