I was just assigned an A/M a week or so ago and haven't had any real contact with him yet beside changing my home time place. Hopefully it will work out well. I will put out a good effort to be on good terms to start out and build a good relationship and go from there.

This load kind of sucks as I can't get it knocked off early on the final drop but I will have a full slate of hours available for a nice weekend run.

Got approved for a home loan in Las Vegas so hopefully will be able to find a good place while on my hometime there in September. Really ready to get everything moved out from North Carolina.

Good luck with all that. I live in SC right now, but lived in NC from 84 until 2008. Want to retire in the Asheville area.

    Week 49:

8/18-19 Forest Park, GA -- Marietta, GA -- Doraville, GA -- Mt. Sterling, IL --- 693/730 miles
8/19-21 Mt. Sterling, IL -- Edwardsville, IL -- London, KY --- 558 miles
    8/21 London, KY -- Berea, KY -- Chillicothe, OH --- 223 miles
8/21-24 Chillicothe, OH -- Memphis, TN -- Pearl, MS --- 786 miles (+30 extra drop)
8/24 Pearl, MS -- Pelahatchie, MS -- West Memphis, AR --- 261 miles
8/24 West Memphis, AR -- Tracy, CA --- 80/2033 miles
    ------------------------------------------
    2601 miles

A pretty subpar week largely due to the two dropper that I could not unload early on but I managed to fenagle myself into this California load that doesn't deliver until the 1st but gets me by the house in Vegas for 3-3.5 days of home time and keeps me under a load heading out of the house. Had to be real proactive getting a load tonight with time left to run. Six-7 loaded trailers in the West Memphis drop yard and they were telling me to wait until morning. I asked for the Cali load and a t-call option in Phoenix but the girl told me they didn't like t-calling something more than once. If it doesn't require many extra miles on the load and it keep s a driver moving what does it matter? I finally had to call back again after waiting an hour on a decision and suggested my latter plan which worked. So going to be maximizing miles over the next two days and trying to get home as quick as possible. Stuck now in #### Galloway, AR parked at the Speedco because all parking spots at the 3 truck stops and chrome shop are taken. Got to be out of here by 6 according to the sign or get towed so I am waiting for another hour or so to look around again and try to find a "legal" place to park for the remainder of my down time.

Busting out the miles the last two days with about 1250. Sitting in Flagstaff tonight and should be back at the homestead in Vegas before noon tomorrow. I don't get pissed too often but ####### that take 25 minutes to fill up their fuel tanks when there are a #### load of trucks waiting in line to get fuel does it. No #### consideration at all.

Thanks bro, just had the neighbors over for dinner. Hard to #### up a good ribeye and fortunately they came out real tasty:) Heading out for some friendly poker games tonight at Bally's to hopefully relieve some tourists of their monies.

Well got the call from Poly today. Had just about thought they had #### canned my application because I had failed to received any further acknowledgment from them after leaving several emails and a couple of phone calls but I suppose I am still in the hunt. The man I spoke with said he was going to continue to forward my app to the next step and I should hear back from him in a day or so. Crete has been a solid company for me and I really can't complain about too much as they have treated me well but if I can knock down the same amount of money with probably twice as much home time I will have to take that offer. Not going to get too excited until the deal is done but I am pretty happy about the possibilities.

Got a second call from Poly wanting to set up the face to face interview. I suppose I will take some of my vacation time in a couple of weeks and go to the interview. Looking forward to being able to get on with them and have the chance to be home a little more and a little more freedom on picking where you will be going. Hoping what I have ascertained from reading other drivers experiences there holds true.
