You'll pay anywhere from $40 - $150 per month depending on what you want. Their packages are on their sites so just go to the DirectTV or the Dish Network site to see what you would pay for the channels you want.
DirectTV charges me $6 per month per extra non-HD receiver that I get. Whatever programming channels that you have in your home account is what you get while on the road, with the exception of your home "local" stations. You can also get a "mobile" account for which they charge a mobile fee of $15 more per month if you want your home local networks while away.
If you work out a deal with a friend then that's on you. I stay away from the legal aspects - just answering the technical part.

I have a issue with my Wineguard 3500T in motion satellite. I cannot get it to pick up a signal at all. It just spins and goes up and down and nothing. I took the coax off the LNB and ran a coax from there to receiver and I can manually get a signal so my question is could it be the board inside? Need help please.

What can you actually see on a 'larger' 9 inch screen? Anything less than 15 inch seems to be useless you just want some light and be able to hear it.
