Hi,
I know loads coming out of NJ pay cheap, but exactly how cheap?? Is it possible to get loads paying $1.70 out of Jersey??
Thanks.

good luck w/that...most I've seen , but not taken have been $1.30/m....lately...7/2012
-
Yeah I havent been able to get anything good as of late, $1.50 at the most....I just wanted to confirm I wasn't the only one being low balled.
-
I dont look for loads out of NJ or none of the NE Just charge $4+ a mile going and once empty I leave, alot easier to get out from up in there leaving early in the am
-
From what i see on some load boards you can get $2.00 up to $6.00 if you go local or within 500-600 miles any long haul is not even worth looking at.
-
I did get one yesterday paying $2.25 going into Ohio.
-
That's fair, depending where in ohio; wouldn't go any ffurther than cleveland for that amount though. Agree or disagree
-
It was actually going into Marion, OH. While it may not be the best rate ever, I do feel it was more than fair considering this particular client had his MC# for less than four months. And it was also kind of tough negotiating with the broker as the client had previously taken this same load for less than $1.75/mile.
BTW I see you're from NJ, if you don't mind me asking... do you consistently get more than $2/mile getting out of Jersey?? -
Count on paying between $50-$75 in tolls before you leave NJ, and if you find any kind of freight paying $1.70 a mile, it going up North New England where you will not find a back haul and have to pay more tolls somewhere in the range of $100-$200 before you get back. Yea, anything coming out of the North is leftovers and paying anywhere between $1.00 and $1.50.
Screw the North! -
you guys must be draggin a dry box.there is always plenty of 2.50 plus loads commin out of nj for a scateboard.
pete1 Thanks this.
