Are there any companies out there that actually do what they say? I live in southern W.V. with 20 yrs experience and clean driving record. Every time I think I find one i read on here and I place place to get all messed up again. Would just love to find a good place to stay.

I hear that.Good luck in finding that perfect company. They all lie.If they told the actual truth
they would'nt be able to afford to stay in business due to lack of drivers.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I also have been reading all these threads for the last several weeks, it seems like the majority of drivers who write to this post are aren't very happy.
I use to drive many many moons ago and even back then we were always looking for greener pastures. Unfortunately this industry is tough and not for everyone. I can understand some of the new regulations are crap but we have to live it for now. The only reason we see regulations changing that are not in favor is, I feel, truckers refuse to unit and help each other out. I'm not a union guy and never cared for it but man guys, the gov and corporations are raking your as#es with low pay, low mileage and disregard for your personal life. If you all really want changes you need to ALL UNITE! Other than that quick complaining! -
you would be in a good area for pgt trucking out of pa

I would love to recommend Transport America to you. I believe they hire out of West Virginia. I do not work for them but I had a very positive experience right up until they fired me.
Good miles. New truck within a year. 41 cents a mile to start. 3000 miles a week.
Now there is an as s h o le or two with in the company. But I don't judge the entire company by one man. Call a recuiter by the name of Dennis. His number is 651-688-4705. -
May want to check out Epes Transport ? Great place to work , been here 8 1/2 years . Pm me with ant questions . Best of luck

I'm not looking OTR for my perfect company anymore. I've sort of come to the conclusion that dedicated accounts are where I like to be, here in the northeast. I was on a really good one that had me home every night, 100% no touch, 68mph trucks, and lenient logging, but they got undercut on their contract by Ryder and lost it. Now I'm on another one that I really like, I unload the truck (yay no more gym membership payments!!), I make good money, I've been here 6 months and just got a 2013 assigned tractor with 2000 miles on it. Also I'm home almost every night.
Parent companies in a lot of cases are irrelevant as the dedicated accounts tend to have their own culture, and often a completely different pay scale (better in many cases than OTR).
