Ok so I'm about 5k miles from completing tnt and saw the .02 cent raise for company side. Out of curiosity how much starting off would I make in reefer? Also the fuel bonus is how many cents per mile and what is the mpg you need in order to receive said bonus and are there any other bonuses that pay by the week and how would you get this. I talked to one company guy today in Utah he said there is a bonus for being in the north east or something and also a bonus for driving lightweight truck. Not sure if his word is who anything and it was too lat to call payroll or anyone so I post here :). Thank you for helping out in advance.

don't quote me I'm not with Prime but I do my research. It was .34 per mile but with the .2 increas it is now .36 so with the cute truck like ORD likes to call it a .5 increase for that you will make .41 per mile. There is a I think .5cpm for NE not sure if that is only dedicated route or not. Then at 80k miles it is another raise of .02. I think the fuel bonus is 7.5 mpg (so like IP says keep it at 50mph and you should get your fuel bonus. As to the other bonus no clue your on your own on that one. But please don't quote me on anything this is just going from memory and stuff I read on here.

Well my trainer is like just get the load there type so he used to haul at 65 and rarely at 58 and he's lease. He is now playing with 55 til I out did him going 54. After a few days I played with it and saw a big difference between 5 and 5 which for me on these certain road conditions was about 1.5-2 mpg difference. He won't do 50. His quote was it will never get there ontime and if it did then your total revenue would be lower blah blah blah lol. Btw we are not even in the northeast and haven't been since the first few days ofpsd. I told him less miles more revenue he was like true but gotta be right time right place. I don't know I see how he could save money but it goes in one ear out the other. Anyone.have tips on better revenue lower miles and anyone who actually run 50

Fer real - when I can. I like keeping my dead presidents in my back pocket. For me it's not about the ol' ego-boost of hammering down the road as fast as I can push it, but how much money I make.

It depends. On the reefer side, we're quite frequently tied to a drive plan that is set by scheduled appointments at each end. If you plan it right and keep the left door shut, you can frequently drive the lower speeds and make your appointments. I've tried it both ways - 65 and getting there as quickly as possible, or slower and taking advantage of the fuel surcharge. Going faster rarely yields anything more than a couple of hundred dollars over my longterm cash flow average, and puts more wear and tear on the truck and tires. I think that alone negates any advantage of the higher speeds at current fuel prices.

Keeping track of your anticipated arrival time while enroute helps to offset any problems that you might have with meeting your appointments. Use that GPS miles-to-go feature, your available drive time, anticipated rest breaks, etc. to figure what kind of average speed you need to make it to your destination an hour early, then run 10% faster. I don't have problems with being late. Ever.

I'm a lease-op, so running slower goes right into my wallet. No bonuses, no BS. Just show me the cash sir! :-D
