Is there any charge for the maintenance department to remove the passenger seat, install fridge/tv mounts, etc?

    ShinobiSharp Thanks this.

I think flatbeds get a full size sleeper, the lightweights go to company reefer drivers unless they decide to lease.

That is because of all of the extra junk they have to carry around allegedly because they need to tie stuff down. I think it's just a scheme to get a bigger tractor!

I know your not going to believe me, but on my way to the 90 in albuquerque, nm. going west while i was going east was a prime lw pulling a flatbed. Maybe they did'nt have a fullsize at the time he was ready to go solo.

I've seen a number of different lightweights pulling flatbed and tankers. Not just some kind of loaner deal... these trucks had the extra equipment you'd associate with a truck set up to do it properly. I suspect they were lease trucks.
